The sound of those ninja bears cutting onions again makes us swear we’re not crying. One of the most well-known artists on Instagram, Ben Hed, made the Pet Foolery account. He also drew what is likely the most important picture in the Pixie and Brutus series.
Ben finally told the whole story of how Brutus the dog got his scars while he was in the service, including the sad parts. Reading Friends, we won’t tell you anything ahead of time, so go ahead and look for yourself. But get ready to feel really, really bad. Do you want to read some funny and light Pet Foolery comics to relax after this one? We’ll take care of you. Take a look at some of artist Ben’s newest work that has been shown on Bored Panda right here and here.
Ben, the artist, told Bored Panda that making the latest sketch took a lot longer than any other one he’s put on Instagram before. This was because he put a lot of work into both drawing the cartoon and doing the study. “This comic took longer than any other one I’ve posted to Instagram,” Ben said. “Partly because it was longer and had more details, and partly because I did so much research before drawing anything.”
Ben said that he spent so much time on the comic because it was the most important and serious one in the Pixie and Brutus series. He took his time with it to make sure he got it right.
Some people didn’t like how things were shown in this comic, so artist Ben wrote on Instagram that he had done a lot of study and went over all the complaints point by point.
There are a lot of works of art by Pet Foolery on Instagram. Over 2.4 million people follow Ben’s account on the platform, and it doesn’t look like that number will stop growing any time soon. This will continue as long as Ben keeps putting so much love and care into his cute and moving drawings.
Bored Panda talked to Ben earlier, and he was honest about how he had changed the look of Pixie and Brutus a bit and added some comics where Pixie was a bit older. Ben told us that Pet Foolery’s comics are still “the same ol’ Pixie and Brutus,” with only a few small changes. So don’t worry that they’re changing too much. Also, making some changes never hurt anyone. They help things stay new.
Ben Hed, an artist, showed how Brutus changed over time in one of his older comics.
When drawing the same picture over and over, it can be hard to think of new and interesting things to draw next and where to move the story along. Ben is no different. He told the truth when he said it was “getting harder and harder” to think of new jokes and ideas. He seems to be doing well so far, which is good news. We’re sure he’ll face the task and win every time.
When talking about problems, the artist told other artists that if they feel like they’ve reached a creative wall, they should try new things, ideas, forms, and styles. It seems to help to be open to new things and flexible.
As soon as Ben posts a new comic, be sure to follow Pet Foolery on Instagram. That being said, if you want to help the artist, you can always use his Patreon.
