Ahead of the highly-anticipated Memorial Weekend release of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Halle Bailey is still serving stunning looks that seem to come directly from “Under the Sea.”
In London, the 23-year-old star–who plays Ariel in the live-action remake–was dressed in a fitted white gown with a plunging neckline and sparkly accents that seem inspired by a flawless seashell.
The Daily Mail UK called the look “nothing short of sensational.”
Bailey, her onscreen love, Jonah Hauer-King, and co-star Melissa McCarthy also attended the premiere as did Sabrina Elba–wife of actor Idris Elba.
A photographer also captured an incredible moment of Bailey greeting a young fan who showed her a doll in her likeness.
In announcing the release of the dolls earlier this year, Bailey shared that the process was a dream come true adding, “I am literally choking up because this means so much to me. To have one that looks like me that’s my favorite Disney character is very surreal.” Her likeness was captured from Bailey’s flowing red locs in the movie, down to her signature mole above her eyebrow.
Last night (May 15), Bailey sang the iconic theme from the film, “Part of Your World,” on American Idol saying that it was her first time singing the song live since filming. The awe-inspiring post is trending on Twitter where she wrote, “first time singing part of your world live since filming. thank you @AmericanIdol for giving me the chance to do so on stage at disneyland ..singing vocals in freezing cold weather at 3am while park is closed is no joke but we did it! only 11 more days until you all can watch the film !”
The Little Mermaid hits theaters on May 26!
