“Precious Moment”: 83-Year-Old John Amos Danced With His Daughter
Even without his cane, 80-year-old John Amos can have fun. In October 2022, he did that!
John is famous for “Good Times” and “Roots.” John played weatherman Gordy on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” for three seasons. He appeared in many more shows and movies, including Eddie Murphy’s “Coming 2 America.” John met his first wife, Estherville, Iowa artist and equestrian Noel Mickelson, at Colorado State University. 16 states banned interracial marriage when they married.
