A Hilarious Encounter: When a Pharmacist’s Advice Went to the Dogs

My wife, Andrea, recently had a humorous encounter with a pharmacist that left us both in stitches. It all began when our Schnauzer’s hearing problems prompted a visit to the veterinarian. The vet’s diagnosis was unexpected – the dog’s ears were clogged with hair. A quick cleaning solved the problem, but the vet’s subsequent advice was what led to the amusing exchange with the pharmacist.

The vet recommended using “Nair” hair remover to keep our dog’s ears clean and prevent future hearing issues. Andrea followed the advice and purchased the product at a local store. As she was checking out, the pharmacist offered some cautionary advice, assuming she was using the product for personal grooming.

The pharmacist warned Andrea against using deodorant for a few days if she was using the hair remover under her arms. Andrea politely corrected him, explaining that she wasn’t using it on her arms. The pharmacist then offered another piece of advice, this time assuming she was using the product on her legs. Again, Andrea clarified that this wasn’t the case.

Finally, Andrea revealed the true intended use of the hair remover – our Schnauzer’s ears. The pharmacist’s response was priceless: “Well, stay off your bicycle for about a week.” We couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation, and the pharmacist’s quick wit.
