After a long, exhausting day at work, Ray came home, crawled into bed with his sleeping wife, and quickly fell asleep. But his night took a bizarre and hilarious turn when he found himself in an unexpected dream.
As Ray opened his eyes, he realized he was in heaven, standing before St. Peter. “You died in your sleep, Ray,” St. Peter said matter-of-factly.
Ray was stunned. “I’m dead? No way! I can’t die now—there’s too much at stake. Please, bring me back!”
St. Peter explained that the only way Ray could return to Earth was by being reincarnated as a chicken. Reluctantly, Ray agreed, asking to be sent to a farm near his home.
In an instant, Ray found himself surrounded by feathers, clucking, and pecking at the ground. A rooster strutted over and said, “So, you’re the new hen, huh? How’s your first day going?”
Ray, now a hen, replied, “Not bad, but I have this weird feeling like I’m about to explode!”
The rooster chuckled. “You’re ovulating. Don’t tell me you’ve never laid an egg before?”
“Never!” Ray exclaimed.
The rooster advised, “Just relax and let it happen. It’s no big deal.”
Ray followed the rooster’s advice, and moments later, he laid his first egg. Overwhelmed with pride, he laid another. Just as he was about to lay a third, he felt something hit the back of his head.
“Ray, wake up! You took a dump on the bed!” his wife shouted, shaking him awake.
Ray’s bizarre dream had come to an abrupt—and messy—end, leaving him both embarrassed and amused.
