Amy Schumer recently shared her thoughts on filming an unforgettable scene with John Cena in the 2015 comedy Trainwreck. The comedian, known for her bold humor, admitted that the intimate moment with the former WWE star was one of her “major regrets”—but not for the reasons you might think.
John Cena, famous for his action-packed roles and comedic appearances, played Schumer’s love interest, Steven, in the movie. The scene in question involved a playful yet exaggerated bedroom encounter, which Schumer now jokingly describes as a bizarre experience. During an interview, she quipped that Cena was “inside her,” quickly clarifying that it was all part of the performance.

One of the more amusing aspects of the situation was that Cena never warned his then-fiancée about the steamy scene. He later admitted it was awkward to film, especially with an entire film crew watching. Schumer, on the other hand, embraced the comedy of it all and joked about how intense the scene felt, even comparing his body to a refrigerator.
During an Australian interview, Schumer was asked how she managed to keep a straight face during the scene, to which she humorously replied, “Because he was literally inside of me.” She then laughed it off, making it clear that it was just a joke.
The comedian later confessed in a separate interview that she regretted not getting to “feel his balls,” keeping the humorous tone of the discussion alive. She playfully referred to it as one of her “biggest regrets.”
Cena also addressed the experience on Club Shay Shay, emphasizing how unnatural love scenes can be due to the large crew involved. He pointed out that while audiences may see only the two actors, in reality, there are multiple people in the background working to make the scene happen.
Schumer later posted on Instagram, jokingly calling Cena out and expressing how meaningful the scene was to her, adding that she was “really into it.” Of course, the playful banter between the two stars makes it clear that, while the scene may have been awkward, it was all in good fun.
