When Bethani and Tim Webb went for a routine ultrasound, they expected to see their baby for the first time. But what appeared on the screen left them—and the medical staff—completely stunned. Instead of one heartbeat, there were four. The nurse told them the odds of this happening naturally were 1 in 15 million.

The couple, who married in 2015, had no family history of multiples and hadn’t used fertility treatments. Yet, Bethani was carrying four identical girls—a phenomenon so rare that even doctors were amazed. “I thought the ultrasound technician was joking,” Bethani later told CBS News.
In June 2016, at 33 weeks, Bethani gave birth via C-section to Abigail, McKayla, Grace, and Emily. Because the girls looked so alike, their parents painted their toenails different colors to tell them apart.
Raising quadruplets hasn’t been easy—they go through 48 diapers a day—but the couple has received incredible support from their community. Friends, volunteers, and even strangers have helped them with everything from baby supplies to a bigger family car.
Despite the challenges, Bethani and Tim feel blessed. “There’s no way we could do this alone,” Bethani said. Now living with Tim’s mother, they’re embracing the chaos and joy of their one-in-a-million family.
