The ongoing legal battle involving Sean “Diddy” Combs has captured global attention, and now former President Donald Trump has shared his thoughts on whether he’d consider pardoning the hip-hop mogul if convicted.
Trump, who has issued several high-profile pardons since taking office, was recently questioned about the possibility of extending one to Combs. The rapper is currently facing serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering—allegations he strongly denies.

The trial has seen multiple testimonies, including from Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who accused him of abuse, as well as former associates like his ex-assistant and rapper Kid Cudi.
During a press conference, Trump was asked if he would pardon Combs. While he didn’t confirm or deny the possibility, he admitted he hadn’t followed the case closely. “Nobody’s asked me yet, but people are thinking about it,” Trump said. “I’d have to look into the details first.”
Trump also addressed his past friendship with Diddy, noting that they hadn’t spoken in years. He suggested that their relationship changed when he entered politics, saying, “He used to like me a lot, but things shifted when I ran for office.”
Despite any personal history, Trump emphasized that his decisions would be based on fairness, not favoritism. “If someone was mistreated, it wouldn’t matter if they liked me or not—I’d look at the facts,” he stated.
