“When My Husband Chose His Friend’s Wife Over Me, I Taught Him an Unforgettable Lesson”

After a grueling business trip from Tokyo, all I wanted was to see my husband David waiting at the airport. Instead, I got a text saying he couldn’t make it because Jenny – his friend’s wife – needed a ride home from the gym. Again. This wasn’t the first time he’d prioritized her over me, but I decided it would be the last.

Fuming, I called Mark, David’s most reliable friend. Within minutes, he was there with a warm smile and helping hand. During the ride home, I hatched a plan. That evening, I prepared David’s favorite meal, set our finest tableware, and invited Mark over for a “thank you” dinner. The look on David’s face when he walked in was priceless – first delight at the spread, then shock seeing Mark sitting at our table.

Throughout dinner, I lavished praise on Mark for his dependability while David squirmed uncomfortably. “I truly appreciate how you saved the day,” I said pointedly. “I don’t know what I would’ve done without you.” The message was clear. Later that night, a humbled David finally understood how his actions made me feel.

The real test came months later when Jenny went into early labor. Instead of rushing to her side like before, David called Mark to help while he stayed with me. That moment proved he’d truly changed. Sometimes it takes experiencing the pain you’ve caused to finally prioritize what matters most.
