The nation mourns the loss of Luke, a 35-year-old father of two whose courageous fight against a rare form of cancer touched hearts worldwide. His wife Beckey shared that he passed peacefully at home on August 2, surrounded by loved ones. Just three weeks before his passing, Luke had reassured his YouTube followers with his characteristic humor, saying he was still “alive and kicking.”

Luke’s journey began in August 2022 when he was diagnosed with stage four Leiomyosarcoma, an extremely rare cancer affecting only 0.17% of cancer patients annually. Despite being given just twelve months to live initially, then a few months last October, Luke defied expectations repeatedly through his determination and multiple chemotherapy treatments.
Through his YouTube channel “I Will Not Be Defeated,” Luke documented his battle with raw honesty and inspiring positivity. His final video, titled “Death” and posted July 18, showed his unwavering spirit even as he acknowledged his declining health. “I feel like death is on me,” he admitted, while still managing to joke about fans checking if he was still alive.
Luke leaves behind his devoted wife Beckey, their young children Taylor and Scarlett, and his parents Lisa and Brian. His family remembers him as a selfless hero who continued helping others even during his darkest days. Remarkably, he completed a charity walk across the Humber Bridge with two undiagnosed spinal fractures, embodying his “never give up” motto until the end.
