Over breakfast, Linda cheerfully offered her husband the full spread: “How about some fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and fresh orange juice with your coffee?”
Mark waved her off. “No thanks, honey. That new medication I’m on – it’s completely killed my appetite.”
At lunchtime, Linda tried again. “I made your favorite tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Maybe just half a sandwich?”
“Still not hungry,” Mark sighed. “Must be those pills the doctor prescribed.”
When dinner rolled around, Linda presented a sizzling steak with roasted potatoes. “Surely you must be hungry by now?”
Mark shook his head. “Nope, that medication’s still working.”
Linda finally snapped. “Well then could you please roll over? Because I’m absolutely starving!”
