‘Anora’ Shines at the 2025 Academy Awards

The 2025 Academy Awards came to a dazzling close on Sunday night, with Anora stealing the spotlight by winning five Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director for Sean Baker, and Best Actress for Mikey Madison. The star-studded event, hosted by the ever-charming Conan O’Brien, celebrated the best of Hollywood’s achievements over the past year.

Adrien Brody made headlines by securing his second Best Actor award, this time for his powerful performance in The Brutalist. Meanwhile, Kieran Culkin and Zoe Saldaña took home Oscars for their supporting roles in A Real Pain and Emilia Pérez, respectively.

The evening was also marked by heartfelt tributes. Morgan Freeman honored the late Gene Hackman, who tragically passed away last week alongside his wife and dog in their New Mexico home. Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldberg, and Queen Latifah came together to pay homage to the legendary Quincy Jones, who died in November.

In a touching moment, the ceremony also recognized the bravery of firefighters who battled the deadly Los Angeles wildfires earlier in the year. Their efforts were so impactful that the awards nominations were postponed twice in January. The night was a perfect blend of celebration, remembrance, and gratitude, leaving audiences inspired and moved.
