One day, a wife asked her husband for some help around the house. “Honey, can you please help me clean the garden?” she asked politely. The husband, lounging on the couch, replied with a smirk, “Do I look like a gardener?”
Not one to give up easily, the wife tried again. “Okay, then can you fix the bathroom door?” she asked. The husband, still unmoved, shot back, “Do I look like a carpenter?” With that, he got up and walked out of the house, leaving his wife to deal with the tasks on her own.
When the husband returned later, he was surprised to find the garden neatly cleaned and the bathroom door perfectly fixed. Feeling proud of himself, he said, “I knew my wife would do it all by herself!”
But the wife quickly corrected him. “It wasn’t me,” she said. Confused, the husband asked, “Then who did it?”
“Our neighbor,” the wife replied casually.
The husband’s eyes widened. “You paid him? How much?” he asked, clearly concerned.
“No, I didn’t pay him,” the wife said. “He just gave me two options: bread or sex.”
The husband, now panicking, stammered, “I hope you gave him bread!”
The wife, with a mischievous grin, replied, “Do I look like a bakery?”
The husband was left speechless, realizing that his laziness had led to an unexpected twist. This funny story serves as a reminder that sometimes, actions (or inactions) have consequences—and that a little help around the house can go a long way!
