Pauline Potter once held the shocking title of the world’s heaviest living woman, weighing in at 50 stone (700 pounds). Her journey to that point involved extreme eating habits—breakfasts of six scrambled eggs, half a pound of bacon, four hash browns, six slices of buttered bread, and an ice cream milkshake—all in an effort to embrace a “bigger is more beautiful” mindset.

As part of a group called Supersize Big Beautiful Women, Pauline believed that gaining weight enhanced her beauty. But the reality of her size came with severe health struggles, including painful skin infections that required constant care. Eventually, she decided to change her life, appearing on the U.S. reality show *My 600-lb Life* to seek help.
Under the guidance of Dr. Younan Nowzaradan (known as Dr. Now), Pauline faced setbacks—at times resisting her strict 1,200-calorie diet and even briefly quitting her weight loss journey. But persistence paid off. She lost over 300 pounds, qualifying for life-changing surgery, and by 2023, she had shed an astonishing 520 pounds.
Though she has since stepped away from social media, her transformation remains an inspiring testament to resilience and the power of commitment.
