Instead of showering every day, experts recommend bathing just two or three times a week for seniors.
Between showers, simple hygiene can be maintained by washing key areas with a damp cloth, using gentle wipes for private parts, and keeping hands and face clean. When showering, lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free cleansers help protect delicate skin.
After bathing, gently patting the skin dry and applying moisturizer while still slightly damp can lock in hydration. This approach helps older adults stay clean while keeping their skin healthy and comfortable.
