A coworker at my old job handed me a lottery ticket with a playful grin. Curious, I scratched it right away—and to my shock, it looked like I had just won $10,000! My heart raced with excitement as I imagined what I could do with that kind of money.
Later, the same coworker swung by and casually asked, “Hey, did you scratch that ticket yet?” Trying to play it cool, I lied and said no. He walked away, and I could barely contain my excitement.
But before I could plan my revenge prank—pretending it was a dud the next time he asked—I flipped the ticket over to check the redemption instructions. That’s when I saw the tiny print: “Prank Ticket.” My heart sank, but then I laughed. At least I found out before he came back and got the last laugh!
