A man who is 80 years old makes his wife food every morning at the nursing home. “Why is his wife in a retirement home?” To which she responded, “She has Alzheimer’s disease.”
“Would your wife be worried if one day you didn’t come and bring her breakfast?” “She doesn’t remember, she doesn’t even know who I am. It’s been five years since she saw me,” he said.
A nurse was shocked and asked him:
Is it because she doesn’t know you that you bring your wife food every morning?” She didn’t know who he was, but he knew who she was. He smiled and looked her in the eye.
